Digital Empowerment Project
CybageKhushboo – Digital Empowerment Project
22/07/2019:

Digital literacy in India is turning inevitable as digital transformation is encompassing every phase of life. Be it education, healthcare, e-governance, financial services, connectivity or any other basic need.

Having understood this challenge, CybageAsha ventured towards its adopted communities with its implementation partner, Pune City Connect, to provide digital literacy. The residents belong to the disadvantaged and economically challenged section of the society.

This project catered to a large and diversified assemblage of homemakers, entrepreneurs, students, and unemployed youths from the urban slum communities of Tadiwala and Mundhwa areas of Pune. Through this program, the residents received training on online payments, various government schemes, email, social media among others. This increased their confidence to handle online transactions and also expand their business.

On July 22, 2019, CybageAsha invited 30 beneficiaries of the project to share their journey of gaining digital literacy.

Ritu Nathani, Director-Cybage and Head-Cybage CSR, interacted with the beneficiaries and praised their confidence and impact of the project in their lives. She further said that one more bus catering to the digital literacy program will be added in the coming months.
